Evidence
Peoples often leave behind evidence of their activities, sometimes on a grand scale, and sometimes in much smaller detail. Photographers have been inspired to record evidence that may have been left behind intentionally or unintentionally. Explore this idea, making references to the appropriate work of others, and make your own response.
Photomontage
Photographers have often used photomontage to create new realities. They have used both traditional and digital techniques and have sometimes chosen to express ideas or to make a personal comment about issues that interest them. Refer to relevant examples and responses in your own way.
Creative use of light
Photographer and filmmakers have recognised that the way in which an object or setting is lit can affect the mood and atmosphere of the image . This can be achieved by ambient , artificial or studio lighting, Investigate the creative use of light, refer to the appropriate work of others and explore a range of approaches.
Evidence (Chosen theme)
I've chosen Evidence for my final piece, the reason why I have chosen this is because I find it quite simple and the easiest. Regarding that I find that evidence is a natural thing, simply by just taking pictures of things thats left over. Things that have happened in the in and outside world, taking pictures of the creased bedsheets after a long period of sleep that I have had the night before. Taking pictures of foot prints left in stones and mud from the outside, also taking pictures of crumbs and food thats been left over after having dinner shows evidence that it taken place at that time.
Other pictures that could be taken is things thats been removed from places. (In the pictures above under 'Evidence' there is a house thats been knocked down which was attached to another house, it shows the colour of the wall paper that was in the house which was there and shows where each floors were etc.) Evidence is basically just things that are taking place, showing where you are and what you are doing. Such boring places you could be at looks so beautiful though a camera, like old abandoned fields and dodgy ally ways to a picture of bins full of rubbish or a really low classed area. Once you've taken pictures with a really good quality camera and focused on certain things and use effects and edit the pictures on photoshop you can change the way you see it to the way that you see it though a camera.

These are some pictures that I have take out and around my house, these pictures show evidence of many different things that have happened and taken place. I went for a walk around Manor park and Lee Green taking pictures of everything I saw that had something to do with evidence like the trolly and the plastic bags etc. My favourite out of them was probably the swing, It seems like that is showing evidence of a person that had literally been on the swing and shows that the swing is still swinging back and forth.
As evidence I look many pictures after eating dinner, to show what has taken place, what we have eaten and how much is left off. The pictures shows a lot of bright colours which makes the picture look more fun and natural like looking at the pictures as it's more real life then picture. I took pictures of things that I was doing, boiling hot water to make pasta. Taking pictures of my bed as I got out of it and seen where I've slept and how it looks when I had gotten out of bed. Also took pictures of my dog bowls, as I was putting food and water down for my dog.

Richard Billingham
ichard Billingham is an English photographer and artist who is best known for his photobook Ray's A Laugh which documents the life of his alcoholic father Ray, and obese, heavily tattooed mother, Liz.
Richard Billingham takes rather strange pictures of his family at home. Evidence showing what his family do at home; drinking, smoking, eating, puzzles. His pictures are so strange and are quite revolting but because of the effect of the images and the contrast and the colours make the pictures quite beautiful and really interesting and eye catching. The thing that I like is the fact that all the pictures are completely different, theres so much going on in all of his pictures like his family doing strange things to falling over, drunk on the floor because they are alcoholics. There a picture of his cat being thrown in the air.
The pictures that Richard has taken are so interesting and is something I have never seen before. These pictures have just giving me a real overlook as to how peoples lives are behind closed doors, as him being a famous photographer I would have expected him to be a upper classed person who had a posh artistic family but it's the complete opposite.

Jim Golden
Joseph Cornell
These are pictures that I have taken as evidence of my mum, these pictures show very precious things that are meaningful to me. I've taken pictures of my mums favourite shoes, a neckless with a picture of us in, rings that she always used to wear, a corset and flowers which was made for her funeral which was made of a shoe which was made of wire. With these pictures I want to crop and edit them and use them for my final piece, I also want to experiment with these pictures by overlapping them and contrasting the pictures together.
These pictures I have cropped and edited on CameraBag 2. I have used eroded boarders and used a range of different effects which don't over contrast the pictures, with these pictures I am going to use them in a square blurb book as an album of evidence of my mum. The pictures that I have used are special things that mean so much to me which are a reminder of her.
Sophie Calle
Sophie Calle is a French artist who works with photographs and performances, placing herself in situations almost as if she and the people she encounters were fictional. She also imposes elements of her own life onto public places creating a personal narrative where she is both author and character. She has been called a detective and a voyeur and her pieces involve serious investigations as well as natural curiousity.
These are images that I have taken at home as evidence, It's not much evidence of the past more of the present. These pictures I had taken were for practice but they turned out quite successful.
These are three of the pictures of my bedroom that I decided to use for one of my final pieces for evidence. I mounted them A3 and have three individual pictures that I can arrange in any way in regards to layout.

For my 3rd final piece I decided to do a Blurb book with inspiration from Ralph Eugene Meatyard, with the Blurb book I am using pictures that I have taken of important things that remind me of my Mum. I called my Blurb book 'Treasure' this is because it holds pictures that means a lot to me which is like my treasure. On some of the pages I have taken words from a book called 'Vermeer' which I had taken pictures of words which represent my mum what I am going to also put into my blurb book.
This was my last final piece, I made a blurb book on pictures that I had taken and edited. I uploaded the pictures onto the app that is on the Apple Mac computers at school, I used one side of each page with words I have taken that describe my mum and the other side are the pictures that I taken using precious things of hers.
